How do I connect Stripe so I can get paid by card?
Card payments run through Stripe, the payment processor behind millions of businesses. You connect once, in Settings → Billing & Payments under Payment processor — and you have two ways in.
Already on Stripe? Connect your existing account
Choose Connect existing Stripe account. Payments are processed in your own Stripe account and paid out on your own schedule — you keep your Stripe dashboard, reporting, and payout setup exactly as they are.
New to Stripe? Get started with Stripe Express
Choose Get started with Stripe Express and Stripe walks you through a short onboarding — business details and the bank account for payouts. You’re bounced back to SnowTracker when it’s done.
Check the connected state
Once connected, the section shows your account type and three checks: Charges, Payouts, and Details submitted. All three green means you’re fully live. Express accounts get an Open Stripe dashboard button right there; Standard accounts use dashboard.stripe.com as usual.
Turn on card payments
With Stripe connected, flip Accept credit / debit cards in the Credit / debit cards section. Cards are then pre-selected on every new quote, payments confirm on their own, and invoices flip to paid the moment the charge clears.
Tax on card payments is handled next to this — see “How is tax handled on quotes and invoices?”. If you ever need to unlink, Disconnect Stripe is at the bottom of the same page, and you can re-onboard afterward.
