How do leads work?

The Leads board is seven columns — Needs review, Unqualified, New, Qualified, Quoted, Won, Lost — and you never drag a card. Position is derived from reality: what quote exists and where it stands. Your job is quoting; the board keeps score.

  1. Where cards come from

Every card wears its source: the blue Website pill means someone submitted a form on your site (with the form kind — Quote request or Contact — and a preview of their message); the quieter Prospecting pill means it started as a pin on your map. Cards carry the address, driveway type when known, and how long the lead has been waiting.

  2. Website submissions with no address start in Unqualified

A form submission with an address becomes a property and lands in New. One without an address — a bare contact — sits in Unqualified until you open View customer and attach the property; that promotes it into the pipeline.

  3. The drawer holds everything they told you

Click a card and the Lead drawer shows contact details, editable driveway type and notes, and Lead submissions — every field the visitor filled in: service type, urgency, how they found you, and their message, verbatim. That’s your call prep, one click deep.

  4. Work the lead from the map

Quote opens the property on prospecting, where quoting lives. The board reacts on its own: sending the quote from SnowTracker moves the card to Quoted (a draft does not — the card wears a Draft quote chip until it goes out), the customer accepting moves it to Won, and marking the quote lost on the Quotes page moves it to Lost. Won and Lost cards clear off after 30 days of quiet.

  5. Hand-delivered, out of area, or not a real lead

Delivering a quote by hand still means producing and sending it here — that is the only way the board can know. A lead you will not serve (outside your area, a bad address, spam) is archived from its drawer; Show archived brings them back if you ever need them. The board refreshes itself when you return to the tab and about once a minute while it is open.

  6. Keep score

The header shows your conversion rate at a glance, and search plus status chips narrow the board when it gets busy in November.
